These terms govern your use of Walking Buddy. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. This is not legal advice.

The app

Walking Buddy is a fitness companion: you hatch and care for a buddy by walking. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use. Step counts, calories, and related stats are estimates, not medical advice.

Accounts

You must provide accurate sign-in details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other players.

Virtual coins

Coins bought or earned in the app are a limited license to use in-app features. They have no real-world cash value, are not redeemable for money, and are not transferable. Purchases are billed by Apple or Google under their store terms, including any refund rules those stores apply.

Hall of Fame

Nicknames and pet names you publish may be visible to other players. Do not post content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove entries that violate these terms.

Health and device access

The app may request motion, Health, camera (treadmill mode only), notifications, and tracking permissions. You can refuse or later revoke them in system settings; some features will then be unavailable.

Acceptable use

• Do not reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
• Do not impersonate others or falsify leaderboard identity.
• Do not use the app in any way that is unlawful.

“As is”

The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost coins, device issues, or indirect damages arising from use of the app.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions: support page.
